Insulate Your Attic Access Opening for Energy Savings
Insulated Prefabricated Energy Saving Attic Access Hatch PanelSave up to 20% on HVAC Energy Costs by Air Sealing and Insulating your home.1 Your energy bill is ONE bill you can control.2 If your attic hatch is not insulated and sealed, this can create an opening where there is a huge loss of energy escaping from your home. This escaping energy is your heated and cooled air which must be replaced by costly conditioned air increasing your utility bills up every month.Seal A Hatch is easy to install and replaces existing panels. A simple cut to fit kit that includes a preassembled panel, 10 feet of magnetic seal (2 rolls) and a two foot by four foot piece of multilayer foam with radiant barrier on both sides. You can easily add traditional insulation to this panel before applying the radiant barrier to increase the R value. Seal and insulate one of the largest openings in your attic with an attic access hatch cover (Seal A Hatch) to save energy and reduce your energy bill.Seal A Hatch is an energy saving attic hatch cover that seals and insulates an attic opening. The panel replaces your existing attic access opening panel with a durable prefabricated panel that comes preassembled with the exception of the radiant barrier which can be added after cutting the panel to fit your attic access opening. The panel has a smooth white durable finish made of fiberglass reinforced plastic bonded to a fire resistant gypsum panel and one inch of high density extruded foam with a multilayer foam radiant barrier. The radiant barrier insulation has aluminum facings that are 97% radiant heat reflective. The prefabricated panel has an effective R-value of 13 along with a magnetic seal to virtually eliminate air leakage between the attic and home. The panel can be painted if desired, however, the smooth white surface never needs painting and can be cleaned easily with mild detergents and water.
